Volkswagen Arena

The Bundesliga Experience - the Wolves Den

The Volkswagen Arena is the home stadium of the VfL Wolfsburg football club, which won the German “Bundesliga” Premier League in 2009. A total of 30,000 spectators in the stadium were able to celebrate this success on 23rd May 2009, when the team captain Josué lifted the championship trophy high into the sky above Wolfsburg and celebrated the greatest success in the history of the club. In June 2013, Nadine Keßler enjoyed the same honour when the women's team celebrated its first league title in the Volkswagen Arena.

The home stadium of the football club fondly referred to as “the Wolves” is considered to be one of the most family-friendly stadiums in the German premier league. This comes as no surprise given that it even has its own children's play area in the family stand. The Volkswagen Arena is also considered to be an extremely dynamic venue and is therefore a fascinating attraction for football fans and interested visitors looking for a party or business venue in a unique setting for their events.

Visitors can make the most of the opportunity to go on guided tours of the arena on which they can enjoy an exclusive look behind the scenes at one of Germany’s most state-of-the-art football stadiums. The arena tours start at 2pm every Tuesday to Friday in the foyer of the VfL Football World, which is based just a few metres away from the Volkswagen Arena in the AOK Stadium. Participants are not required to register in advance.
