EisArena Wolfsburg ice rink

Ice for Everyone in the Allerpark

The Allerpark's former “Ice Palace” venue was transformed into an attractive and modern arena and reopened by the public services organisation “Stadtwerke Wolfsburg AG” in 2006. The ice rink now offers the ideal conditions for the matches and training sessions of the “Grizzlys Wolfsburg” ice hockey team. The renovation of the building, which actually involved constructing the arena almost from scratch, provided the club with a hall suitable for use in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) and offering space for 4500 spectators.

During the ice hockey season, the Grizzlys Wolfsburg welcome their opponents to a multitude of home games in the EisArena and provide visitors and fans with exciting matches in which they can cheer on their team and join in the excitement. The play-offs in particular are sure to offer spectators an exciting experience, with matches often rapidly becoming nail-bitingly close and thus leading to truly vibrant celebration when the Grizzlys come out on top.

In order to secure the future of ice hockey, the club is committed to promoting and support young talents. The Young Grizzlys also train in the EisArena with the hope of one day being able to play in the big league like their role models.

Every weekend during the ice hockey season, the arena opens its doors to ice-skaters of all ages from Wolfsburg and the surrounding region. It hosts an Ice Disco featuring stunning light effects and the latest hits every Saturday, which is the perfect opportunity for young visitors in particular to take to the ice and enjoy some skating fun.

The ice rink is closed to the public in the spring and summer breaks, when both ice-skating and the Ice Disco are no longer available. It then reopens its doors on a regular basis for all ice-skating fans every September.
